Summary execution of Muhammad Jamal Omar Madani in Balata

On September 3, 2025, Israeli special forces infiltrated Balata camp in a vehicle bearing Palestinian license plates. They surrounded a house while additional reinforcements entered the camp, spreading through its alleys and firing live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas. Mujahid Muhammad Hamouda Khadish was arrested after his home was encircled.

At 10:05, during the earlier raid on Balata camp, confrontations erupted after Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas, reportedly following stone-throwing. The operation resulted in the death of one Palestinian and the arrest of another, before the forces withdrew at 10:45.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health later announced the death of 25-year-old Mohammad Jamal Omar Madani, who had been injured by live ammunition during the operation. He was shot in the hand, taken to hospital, and later pronounced dead.

At 01:10, Israeli forces also stormed the city of Nablus and the Askar, Balata, and Ein Beit al-Maa camps, arresting six people: Nizar Mona, Yazan al-Tanbour, Ahmed Shuqairat, Suhaib Dweikat (from Nablus), Muhammad Youssef Khalil (from Balata camp), and Musab Sheikh Omair (from Ain Beit al-Maa camp).
