Raids an pogroms on Bardala community

West Bank, Jordan Valley, Bardala 01 January, 2025
At least 2 martyred
Bardala is located in the north Jordan Valley. According to Younis Tirawi, at the end of December 2024, an outpost appeared, close to Palestinian-owned private land, and constructions for a road to connect it to the main road are done daily on palestinian private land. This new illegal outpost is stealing the town's lands and making the residents' life insufferable. One of the settlers is Eitan Ze'ev, known for shooting Palestinians. Since then, every time the residents tried to access their fields, they were met with a combined settler-soldier militia that physically assaulted them, threw gas bombs at them, and kidnapped a few Palestinian farmers to a nearby military base for a few hours of detention. Since the outpost was established, army and settler invasions to Bardala increased, and one time settlers accompanied by army forces even invaded Bardala's school, assaulted people and shot live fire. One of the settlers carrying out the school invasion is Eitan Ze'ev, who is known his activity in the violent outpost "Sde Efrayim", between Kufer Na'ame and Ras Karkar, and on their lands. Over there, 4 years ago, he killed Khaled Nofel, a 34 year old Palestinian, husband and father. Ze'ev was never charged for the killing for claims of "self defence", but Khaled wasn't armed, and was a day before he was suppose to reunite with his wife and child after a long atay in Jordan. Ze'ev is also one of the founders of Havat Dorot outpost on the lands of Bidya. Over there, on July 2020, Ze'ev shot a Palestinian farmer trying to access his lands. He was brought to court and convicted, but never went to prison. Another settler seen invading the school is Shai Eigner. Eigner works in the Jordan Valley settlements' council (meaning - funded directly by Israel) and was seen multiple times invading Palestinian villages, accompanying settlers trying to take over lands, in demolition of Palestinian houses etc. Here he's seen invadinf the village of Nabe3 al ghazal and filming people. The people of Bardala remain steadfast on their lands, but the new outpost threatens to grab immense parts of their lands, the land they work in order to provide their families. The violence of the settlers, and of the army forces protecting it, can have terrible results. The village's call is to remove the illegal outpost and hold Israel accountable for its crimes against them. ## **Timeline of the events** * **On January 2025** Israeli settelrs established a new outpost west of the village, and began expanding and attacking Palestinian citizens under the protection of the occupation army. **On February 5, 2025** Israeli settlers attacked shepherds while they were grazing their livestock west of the village of Bardala in the northern Jordan Valley. Human rights activist Leen Sawafta reported that a number of armed settlers from the colonial outpost west of the village attacked local resident Abdullah Sawafta while he was grazing his livestock in the area. **On April 24, 2025** Journalist and HR activist Andrey reports on Israeli settler mobs’ attack on Bardala village. Israeli settler mobs stormed the village of Bardala, attacking Palestinians and their properties. They invading a watermelon farm and "hacking to pieces" all the melons before they could be harvested. **On June 1, 2025** Israeli settlers from the nearby outpost invade with cows an unharvested wheat field belonging to one of the villagers. Then they assaulted foreign activists and owners of the land. **On June 9, 2025** Israeli occupation forces seized three agricultural tractors while they were operating in Bardala in the northern Jordan Valley. **On June 15, 2025** Israeli settlers were seen assaulting Palestinians who were pinned to the ground, all while soldiers from the occupying army stood by and watched. The settlers had stormed a Palestinian home, after which the army detained four members of the family. They were later released. **On July 3, 2025** During the night, settlers invaded the land of Mohammad Sawafta from Bardala, put fire to his field and destroyed irrigation pipes. Mohammad has been suffering regular attacks on his agriculture throughout the year. **On January 5, 2026** Anwar Jamil Sawafteh, a livestock owner from the village of Bardala, was attacked by a group of settlers while tending his sheep with his son. The settlers initially chased him away and pursued the sheep, attempting to seize them. Fortunately, the sheep escaped, especially since they were only a few meters from their pen. A Palestinian ambulance and other citizens were prevented from reaching him, and he was left bleeding for several hours, particularly due to a head injury. His son, Musab, was arrested by the army and his whereabouts remained unknown until 5pm. It is worth noting that the son was also attacked by a group of settlers about three months ago, sustaining a moderate head injury. According to Jordan Valley Activists, *"this attack comes amidst a fierce campaign against livestock breeders in the northern Jordan Valley, aimed at pressuring them to sell their animals after the settlers seized control of approximately 45,000 acres of grazing land surrounding the village. This campaign seeks to leave the families of these farmers vulnerable to poverty and marginalization, and to force them to abandon their land and their villages"*.

Demolition of 2 prisoner's family homes in retaliation

West Bank, Tulkarm 01 Jan, 2025 - 10 Jan, 2025
**On January 1st, Israeli army destroyed the house of the prisoner Muhammad Talal Abu Yassin in Bal'a, east of Tulkarm,** who was accused to be one of the perpetrators of the Beit Lid and Bal'a assault against Israeli soldiers. This assault led to the death of an Israeli soldier (Staff Sgt. (res.) Elhanan Ariel Klein) and the injury of of four Border Police officers., on Nov. 2, 2023, at the Beit Lid Junction. - Muhammad Abu Yassin has been in Israeli custody since January 2024. - On December 26, Israeli soldiers posted a demolition order on the wall of their two-story house and attached storage space, which is located in the western neighborhood of the town. - This is the second demolition notice issued to the family in November. The first notice had given the family 72 hours to file an objection, prompting them to evacuate the house in anticipation of the Israeli authorities carrying out the demolition at any time. - Local sources said that about 30 military vehicles and two bulldozers raided Bal’a, in Tulkarem, and surrounded a house in the western district of the town before proceeding Abu Yassin’s family home demolition. - IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces carried out this demolition operation overnight on January 1 in the village of Bal’a in the Menashe Brigade area of responsibility. - Israeli authorities have long used to punitively demolish the homes of Palestinians living in occupied territories and accused of carrying out attacks on Occupation forces, a policy that Israel does not apply to Israeli settlers who are involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians. Human rights groups say that is collective punishment and may amount to war crimes. **According to a statement IDF online**, IDF forces, Shin Bet, and Mageb (Border police) operated in the village of Bal'a in the Menashe division and destroyed the "apartment of the terrorist" Muhammad Abu Yassin. **On January 10,** Israeli occupation forces demolished the home, located in the Tulkarm refugee camp, **belonged to the family of Mahmoud Sleit “Abu Hanoud,”** a Palestinian prisoner accused of involvement in the twin operations at Beit Lid and Bal’a in November 2023. This house had previously been partially demolished in September 2024. **Source :** [1](https://www.jns.org/undercover-forces-nab-senior-terrorist-in-nablus-raid/) [2](https://x.com/idfonline/status/1874765860612763808) [3](https://english.wafa.ps/Pages/Details/152937) [4](https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20250102-israel-occupation-forces-demolish-detainees-west-bank-home/) [5](https://english.almanar.com.lb/2310673)

Genocidal incitement letter of 8 Knesset Members

Knesset, Israel 31 December, 2024
******On December 31**, Eight members of the Israeli Parliament Foreign and Defense Committee - from coalition parties Likud, Religious Zionism and Jewish Power - write Defense Minister Katz, demanding he issues order to Israeli forces in Gaza North to: 1. Destroy all energy sources including fuel, solar systems, generators and power lines. 2. Destroy all food sources including warehouses, water and water pumps. 3. Lay siege and remotely kill everyone not flying a white flag of surrender. **In regard to the Rome Statute and historical works, this letter constitutes a textbook on genocide incitement and planning.** **Signatories :** The letter, signed by members of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, including Amit Halevi, Zvi Sukkot, Ariel Kellner, Ohad Tal, Nissim Vaturi, and Osher Shekalim. One of the signatories is Ariel Kallner, a Likud member and head of the Knesset delegation for relations with the European Parliament, a frequent visitor to Brussels. In October 2023, he stated: “We now have only one goal: the Nakba! A Nakba that will eclipse that of 1948.” **This plan primarily concerns the northern part of the Mefalsim (Jabalia) Corridor: :** Israeli media revealed on Nov. 10 2024, new maps indicating the creation of a military corridor separating northern Gaza's Jabalia from Gaza City. This corridor stretches from eastern Jabalia to the Mediterranean Sea coast near Beit Lahia. Since Oct. 5, the Israeli army has been conducting daily operations to demolish homes and clear the area for expanded control. Although Israel denies implementing the so-called "generals' plan" for the depopulation of northern Gaza to facilitate the return of illegal Israeli settlers, military action on the ground suggests otherwise. Haaretz reports have noted that thousands have already been uprooted in the area, much of which lays in ruin, as many residents are unable to return to their destroyed homes. [source](https://www.aa.com.tr/en/middle-east/israeli-military-cut-across-gaza-strip-leaving-territory-fragmented/3402300) **The complete text translated in English :** "We appeal to you, as members of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, so that you re-examine the operational plan of the fighting in the Gaza Strip, in view of its dire results so far and the expected continuation. We will specify as follows: The operational action in the Gaza Strip, as presented to us in the Foreign and Security Committee by the previous Minister of Defense even before the ground operation began on 27.10.23, and as it has been carried out since then in the field, does not allow the goals of the war as defined by the political echelon. The decline of governmental and military capabilities of Hamas has not been realized to this day, even though it is a small area and against an enemy that does not possess the tools and capabilities of a modern army. As stated by the Hermatchail in public, Tsha'al operates with a method of targeted raids, a method that lacks the central component in this type of guerrilla warfare: control. Effective control of the territory and the population is the only basis for cleansing the enemy's nests from the Strip and, of course, for a decision and victory, not for a shuffling and a war of attrition in which the main exhausted party is Israel. That is why we repeatedly put our soldiers into neighborhoods and alleys that have already been conquered by them many times. Places that the heads of the IDF declared as cleared of the enemy, where the Hamas battalions were disbanded and destroyed. And in those places, we pay a terrible and unbearable blood price. From October 6, 2024, an operation in a different direction began in the north of the Gaza Strip, south of the Mefalsim axis, which included encirclement and evacuation of the population to the south. We all hoped that this was the beginning of military actions that would bring about the necessary change, but it seems that this action is not being done properly; that is, after the cordon and the humanitarian evacuation, the IDF does not respond, as is customary in international law. The Western armies view those who remain as enemies, once again endangering the lives of our soldiers by entering the built and tangled area. After the encirclement and evacuation of the population, the instructions to the IDF should be clear: (1) Remote destruction of all energy sources, i.e., fuel, solar installations, and any relevant means (pipes, cables, generators, etc.). (2) Destruction of all sources of food, including warehouses, water, and any relevant means (water pumps, etc.). (3) Remote elimination of anyone who moves in the area and does not come out with a white flag during the days of the effective siege. After these actions and the days of the siege on those who remain, a soldier should gradually enter into a complete purification of the enemy's nests. This must be done in the north of the Gaza Strip and in the same way in every area cell after encirclement, evacuation of the population to a humanitarian area, and remote assurance of the elimination of the enemy. This is how every army behaves and how the Defense Forces should behave as well. Despite repeated questions and requests in the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, we have not received satisfactory answers from Tsha'al representatives in the committee to date. Why do they not act as required and define the decision of Hamas as operational and to the fighting, and what are the plans for the continuation? Therefore, we request your immediate intervention in answering these questions and providing appropriate instructions to the IDF to reach a decision and stop endangering the lives of our soldiers without justification. The Demolition of Family homes in Al-Jiftlik

West Bank, Jericho, Al-Jiftlik 31 December, 2024
Located 33 kilometers to the north of Jericho, Al Jiftlik has a population of some 5,500, who predominantly depend on agriculture and livestock for their main source of livelihood. The village occupies a total area of 185,032 dunums. The Israeli occupation authorities maintain full control over the village, classified as Area C, and has allowed the villagers to build within a small pocket of 972 dunums, which accounts for 0.5 percent of the total village area. Israel has severely restricted Palestinian access to water in the area, particularly the 23 underground wells used for agriculture. Local water springs are susceptible to dryness and depletion as a result of Israel’s control over water. In January 2023, Israel had already seized at least some 6,750 dunams belonging to the village for the construction of seven nearby colonial settlements, 4,550 dunums for the construction of a military base, besides to more land for opening settler-only by-pass Roads No. 90, 50, 505 and 508, and constructing colonial outposts, pushing the villagers into a crowded enclave, a ghetto, surrounded by walls, settlements and military installations. Religious ceremony by a Israeli settlement movement in South Lebanon

South Lebanon, Adamit Park 31 December, 2024
"While drama was unfolding in the Knesset yesterday, far away, in Adamit Park near the Lebanese border, activists from the "Uri Zafon" movement gathered for a conference to "pass the torch" from veterans of Homa and Migdal to "settlers of the renewed Lebanon region." Veterans of Homa and Migdal were not there, and you will soon receive the story in detail in "Haaretz," but in the meantime, here is a little of what was there From Adamit Park, after a joint photo, the convoy of cars of potential Lebanese settlers entered the Arab Al Aramsha. A few mistakes in navigation, and in the end they found the border, some children even managed to cross the wire. At some point, the officer who arrived at the scene got quite fed up, he announced a closed military area, and asked everyone to leave the place The pictures don't convey how cold it was, but the Lebanese settlement activists did not give up, and continued their journey to the Hanita Forest, to locate a wall and a tower. The children quickly occupied the tower that had been expropriated from a wall and a tower in favor of slogans for settlement in Lebanon, a guitar was quickly pulled out, and the ceremony began with the lighting of Hanukkah candles in menorahs made from tin cans The Chanukah songs were also replaced quite quickly by other songs and other dances. After them began the "torch passing ceremony." As I recall, there were no real veterans of the Wall and Tower, but there was a guy who said he grew up in Hanita, and apparently has since converted. He declared that he was "receiving this torch from the founders." The guy announced that "with God's help, we are continuing the settlement... even better, and expanding the Galilee. We will restore Atara to its former glory!" He declared, and burst into song and dance - "The land is very, very good." Near the settlement merchandise stand, a guy walked around with a sheet of paper with a QR code on it that leads to the registration forms for the nuclei. Still. Occupation in 2025" Source [1](https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1874410740360286669.html)
