"This afternoon, four young settlers tried to expel the community of Hirbat al-Nabi, a few hundred meters from the Metzadot Yehuda checkpoint. They brought a generator and a pump and emptied a water cistern just because they could. A serious production for a Friday afternoon.
One of them is wearing a shirt of “Shomer Yush”, an organization that has been subject to international sanctions.

Location:
Hirbat al‑Nabi (also spelled Haribat a‑Nabi, Hreibat al‑Nabi, Hurabat al‑Nabi or Khirbet Haribat al‑Nabi) is a small Palestinian hamlet in the South Hebron Hills of the occupied West Bank, within the Masafer Yatta area of the Hebron Governorate. It is part of a cluster of tiny herding communities in an arid upland region east of the town of Yatta.
Geographically, it lies south of Hebron and adjacent to other Masafer Yatta localities, with access by rough agricultural tracks rather than paved roads. Nearby Israeli settlements include Beit Yatir (Metzadot Yehuda) and Susya, and it is located a few hundred meters from the Metzadot Yehuda checkpoint area in the South Hebron Hills.
The community is tiny — consisting of a few families practicing herding and dry‑land farming — and has been the target of frequent settler violence and military actions in recent years.
