On April 21, 2026, at approximately 6:00 AM, while al-Ja’bari was riding his electric bike to school, he was killed after being run over by a car in the convoy of the Minister of Settlement in the occupation government, Orit Struck, while he was on Route 60 leading to the Kiryat Arba colony, at the Beit Ainun intersection near Hebron. This led to his immediate death.

Other sources claimed that the convoy belongs to the Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

"It was unclear which minister the car was meant to protect. The Maariv daily reported that, according to initial findings, the car belonged to National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s security convoy. But Haaretz, citing a security source, reported that the car was en route to guard Settlements and National Missions Minister Orit Strock." Both lives in or near Hebron (settlement of Kiryat Arba).

Strangely, in a statement, Ben Gvir’s office said that the “vehicle is not the minister’s and the minister was not at the scene.” But added “As for the incident itself: The Arab minor burst into the road at a red light, and the security guard did all he could to avoid an accident and was even injured himself and at the moment is being treated at a hospital,”.
